What led you to Positive Response: I’ve always had an interest in behaviour after completing my degree in criminology and social policy but never thought of being a dog trainer until i moved to Australia in 2011, from the UK and volunteered for the RSPCA.
Working with back of house dogs, many who had behavioural issues and were from cruelty cases, made me realise what I really wanted to do with my life, was to become a dog trainer. I adopted my dog from the RSPCA and spent time teaching him the basics and that the world can be a safe place. To further my knowledge I enrolled in a certificate IV in companion animal services with Delta.
Understanding the need for hands on training and looking for placement, I found Positive Response Dog Training and Dee who have taken me on. I look forward to working with this amazing team.
