What led you to Positive Response?

I have always had a passion for animals and knew I wanted to pursue a career in animal welfare. In 2015 I started a Bachelor of Science in Zoology which exposed me to a range of animal related industries and developed my knowledge in animal physiology and behaviour. During my degree I had the opportunity to work with different conservation and animal welfare organisations, including Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services, Wildcare, the RSPCA and Happy Tails Animal Rescue. Working with rescue organisations to rehabilitate neglected or abused animals so they can find a loving new home has been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my life. But eventually I realised working to prevent animals ever becoming rescues was equally important, so I began searching for opportunities to work in dog training.

I was drawn to Positive Response Dog Training because of their focus on using science based training methods, which as a biology nerd is really important to me. Working with Positive Response Dog Training is an amazing opportunity to teach pet owners how to understand their dogs so they can work together to develop a beautiful relationship.
